Brooke Alford shine’s the spotlight on the violin
Known throughout the Smooth Jazz realm as “The Artist of the Violin,” Brooke Alford brings her luminous melodic sweetness, fanciful runs and bursts of exotic percussive energy to her latest single “Shine”.
The track is an uplifting tune she wrote as a commitment to hope and optimism in the wake of three recent traumatic family losses.
She’s brought that kind of joy to the stage for nearly 15 years, collaborating with the likes of Bob Baldwin and Marcus Anderson and opening for Najee, Marion Meadows and R&B greats The Whispers and Mint Condition.
The daughter of prominent educators, Brooke is also spreading hope via the one-on-one studies program, created in 2020 as a way for students to continue their musical education while school programs were shut down.
